James Johnson’s personal history is non-typical for a church pastor. His background is rife with episodes of violence and drug and alcohol abuse, which landed him in jail on several occasions. Finally, he landed in prison, having been found guilty of several offenses. His wife Rita had given him an ultimatum that he either change his way of life or leave. Alone, broken, and spiritually bankrupt, he cried out to God and accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. Things in his life quickly began to change. God called James to the ministry along with his wife, Rita. Together, they tirelessly minister to those in need, including the addicted, the brokenhearted, and the imprisoned.
